As a company that’s based in the often sunny state of California, we know a thing or two about how to enjoy our weekends and relax (when we’re not too busy multi-tasking or stuck on the freeways). For families, now is a good time to start things about how and where to plan your vacation. And if you’re thinking about coming to California, we have some great suggestions for you.
- Spas and Resorts – Seems like an obvious one, but California is home to great spas and wonderful resorts. With warm weather, pools, golfing, delicious dining, you’ll be right at home with some of California’s finest – or budget – resorts. From the Ojai Valley Inn, to Disneyland resort, you can pick and choose the best places to stay in California. And of course, there is always Palm Springs, which features great dining, spa treatments, and mountains.
- Big Bear Lake + Lake Tahoe – It goes without saying that California is home to gorgeous mountains and lakes. And this wonderful pairing is close and affordable. With skiing, hiking, bird watching and a host of other activities, it’s the perfect place to enjoy the sun and the outdoors, without having to go too far from civilization. Just remember to plan this trip early, because lodging books up fast.
- Beaches – California also knows how to do beaches. From Malibu to Huntington to Manhattan Beach, we have some of the best places to enjoy the warm weather and oceans. We also recommend checking out coastal San Diego and even Big Sur near Santa Barbara – all of which have plenty of outdoor hiking and places to take the kids.
- City Sight Seeing – Home to some truly legendary cities, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Hollywood, and San Diego are not just good tourist spots. With well-known restaurants, historical sight-seeing, and great night life, California’s top cities have something for parents and kids of all ages.
Wherever you decide to spend your vacation time, make sure that you plan ahead. And bring sunscreen!
