Overview

Kentucky’s Child Support Enforcement (CSE) program is a state and federal partnership that helps parents obtain financial support for their children from the non-custodial parent. The Kentucky Child Support Enforcement program provides a number of services to custodial and non-custodial parents, including:

  •  Establishing paternity
  •  Establishing and enforcing child support orders
  •  Collecting and distributing child support payments
  •  Modifying child support orders
  •  Tracking down non-custodial parents who have moved without providing a new address

Kentucky’s child support program also provides education and outreach to families about the importance of child support and the services available through the program.

Kentucky child support law requires both parents to support their children financially. The amount of child support a parent is required to pay is based on a number of factors, including the income of both parents and the needs of the child.

If you are a custodial parent in Kentucky and you need help obtaining child support from the non-custodial parent, you can contact the Kentucky CSE child support office. The Kentucky child support program can help you locate the non-custodial parent, establish paternity, establish a child support order, and collect, distribute and pay child support payments. The Kentucky Child Support Enforcement program also provides education and outreach to families about the importance of child support and the services available through the program.
