Your divorce is processed and you have a child support order or agreement. The hardest part of your divorce process is over and you are ready to move on with your life. Or so you think!
Managing your child support
The one thing that nobody talks about is managing child support after the order. Of course we hear a lot about the situations where parents are not paying child support. But what do you do if you are part of the majority, or 298 million parents in the world, who do exchange child support?
We have talked to a lot of parents who state that they didn’t realize it would be so time-consuming, costly and stressful to manage the child support process with the other parent. Let’s face it, having financial discussions with your ex is hard. And when you have to do it on a regular basis, because child expenses are an ongoing occurrence, the entire process can become very overwhelming.
Typical Child Support Process
Up until now, a typical process to manage child support was……..
Well there wasn’t one. Each parent I talked to had a different way that they managed it. From emails, text messages, phone calls, conversations when they dropped off the kids, to completely forgetting to make a payment and hitting the ignore button on their phone. Other parents attempted to manage it through spreadsheets, checks and direct deposit from one account to another.
I guess you can say that everyone talks about the process of getting divorced, or calculating child support or getting a child support agreement but there is little information on what to do once you have that agreement in place.
And that is why I started Supportpay. We aim to provide a standard process for managing child support and recommend best practices to parents when it comes to managing their own child support.

Sheri is right for 4 years I searched for a way for my fiancee to get better organized , yes excels are great but then you have to copy all proof of payments or rely on state printout. I’ve tried another program but it was lacking the recording the medical bills and you still have to talk to the ex about things really this program eliminates the need for.
Finally a way for both parent to take part , comply and document support and medical and children cost and it even deducts payments made so each parent knows what the balance is so you don’t pay the bill thats already paid off. IM a medical biller and coder and still had issues keeping track of the medical bills.
This program should be ordered by all state courts there be less need to involve lawyers. If the order states you have 2 weeks from statement date to produce bills you simple add the amount owed and attach document the date says it all I got it in.
In fathers case if mom does not get it to you it shows she isn’t cooperating therefore how can you pay if bill is not there. Its a win win folks its that easy.
Look I sought this program to get dad better documentation and show he’s doing what the courts ask of him without involving me or effecting our income where he is charged for thing he paid but cant document hey its cover your butt 123 save you the headaches
