Columbia Gorge, OR – Drive through the gorge along the river, near Mt. Hood and see waterfalls and beautiful views. There are many great hiking trails and camping spots too.

Central Coast, CA – There are too many cool places to list here. Santa Cruz has the mountains and the warm beach. Monterey is a fabulous coastal town with an amazing aquarium for kids. Carmel is a cute town with personality, good restaurants, and lots of shopping.

Lake Tahoe, CA – This is a very accessible, adventurous place. You can hike, bike, and swim all in one day easily in this mountain town.

Olympic Peninsula, WA – National parks, rivers, lakes, snow covered mountains, lush green valleys, wildlife and cute towns. So much to explore, you’ll just have a hard time choosing.

By Air

Seattle, WA – Pike’s Place Market, The Space Needle, amazing coffee, mountains, lakes and forests.

San Fransisco, CA – Alcatrez Island, the Golden Gate Bridge, cable cars, and the ocean. Lots of history here.

Portland, OR – Bridges galore, culture and art, coffee and beer, outdoor recreation, OMSI, a great walking city.
